Our hydrogen system is up and running. Our main goal now is to just use the dang thing- run it and find out more about what works and what doesn’t.
Two items still on our “to do” list are replacing the remote operation relays with a PLC, and debugging the remote monitoring system. Possible upgrades to our system include:
Get a fuel cell with an adjustable output voltage, and a possibly larger kW output.
Try out a solid oxide fuel cell.
Add another storage tank, 500 or 1000 gallon size.
Experiment with metal hydride storage.
Get a larger and more efficient electrolyzer, one that runs on DC and does not have a warm-up period.
Look for new developments we could incorporate, such as (for example) an electrolyzer from Avalence which allegedly produces hydrogen at up to 5000 psi.
We want to improve our website, to make it as useful as possible- please contact us if you have suggestions.
And in all things, set sail for the deep water!
